Here is a sampling of things to do in the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles area, March 16-23.

 

EVENTS

 

St. Paddy’s Eve: A night out at Santa Clarita’s 2023 SENSES Block Party series of events, geared for adults, kicks off with a St. Patrick’s Day/Irish theme with pub-style games (darts to pool), music by Craic in the Stone and food trucks, 7-10 p.m. March 16. Los Angeles Marathon: The “Stadium to the Stars” event takes place on March 19 with runners, competitive wheelchair and handcycle racers surging for 26.2-miles from Dodger Stadium to Century City. The 38th annual event has a slightly different finish line this year due to construction of a new Metro station in Century City — the finish is on Santa Monica Boulevard near the intersection of Avenue of the Stars. The last day to register as a walk-up may be available on March 17-18 at Dodger Stadium; check the website). Prior to the marathon there will be two special runs on March 18, solely at Dodger Stadium/Elysian Park: LA Big 5K at 8 a.m., and the LA Big 1/2K Kids Run at 9:30 a.m. for ages 3-8 (the Kids Run may still be available for registration; check the website).
