Singapore’s Changi Airport has long been rated one of the world’s best — and its seven-story waterfall I saw during a recent visit was just one of the highlights.

The title is no surprise considering Changi houses a plethora of activities, like a pool and free movie theater.

On Wednesday, aviation ranking website Skytrax announced the top 20 best airports in the world for 2023, and Changi not only won overall, but also got first for its dining and leisure amenities.Inside Singapore’s Changi International Airport.

The win comes after two years of losing out to Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar. Prior to 2021, Changi took the top spot every year from 2013 to 2020 and has won a total of 12 times since 2000.Changi’s complete closure in May 2021 and Singapore’s strict lockdown rules compared to other nations likely factor into the 2021 and 2022 loss.
