Over the weekend, the world was stunned when Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus separated after only about eight months of marriage.
Now, Liam is releasing his first-ever official, solo statement about the breakup. You can tell that he’s still reeling from the split.
Their relationship has lasted, off and on, for a full decade. It’s understandable that he’s deep in his feelings.
The 29-year-old actor took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message about this incredibly personal, difficult subject.
“Hi all,” Liam’s caption begins.
“Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated,” he confirms.

Liam goes on to emphasize that “this is a private matter.”

He is said to have then insisted: “I don’t want to talk about it, mate.”
That sentiment is extremely understandable.
But it sounds like Liam is claiming that he never said those words to any journalist.
Miley released her own vague statement on social media in the wake of the couple’s separation going public.
“Don’t fight evolution, because you will never win,” Miley wrote.
She continued: “Like the mountain I am standing on top of, which was once under water, connected with Africa , change is inevitable.”
“The Dolomites were not …read more
