Appeal to trace man after cyclist injured in Aberdeen


An appeal has been launched to trace a man who could help police after an altercation in Aberdeen last month.

Police have asked the public for help finding a man in his 40s who was walking his dog on the Old Deeside Railway line at 7.20pm on May 28.

The incident happened near Morrison Drive in Garthdee and a 36-year-old cyclist sustained a facial injury.

PC Paul Smith said: “We are following several lines of inquiry in relation to this incident however would be very keen to speak to a man described as being in his 40s who was walking a dog in the area at the time and could assist.

“We understand he was with a woman of a similar age who was walking a spaniel-type dog.

“If you recognise yourself as this person please get in touch quoting ref. no. 3636 of May 28.

“Likewise anyone else with information who could help should also get in touch. There is also an option to contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 if you wish to remain anonymous.”
