A service will be held in Aberdeen on the 30th anniversary of the Piper Alpha disaster to commemorate the 167 victims.
The names of those who perished will be read aloud at the service, which will start at 7pm on July 6 at the Memorial Garden in Hazlehead Park
A lone piper will play a lament followed by a minute’s silence. Families, friends and colleagues will then be invited to lay wreaths, led by Aberdeen Lord Provost Barney Crockett.
