A man has been charged in connection with an alleged attempted murder in a north-east town.
A 21-year-old was rushed to hospital with serious injuries yesterday evening following an incident on Stonehaven’s High Street.
Police have confirmed a 28-year-old man has now been charged in relation to the matter and is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court tomorrow.
Detective Inspector Stewart Drummond said: “This has been a contained incident and I would like to thank members of the public for their cooperation and patience while inquiries were progressed in the area last night and today.
“We would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or was in the High Street area around 7pm last night to come forward with any information.
“Police Scotland can be contacted on 101 using reference number 3601 of May 16.”
