The Lynbrook High School baseball team will not have to travel very far to face its opening-round Central Coast Section Division I playoff opponent.
Homestead will host the No. 9 Vikings on Wednesday at 5 p.m. Other Division I opening games on Wednesday involving local teams includes No. 13 Cupertino at No. 4 Leland (5 p.m. start) and No. 14 Monta Vista at No. 3 Mountain View (4 p.m. start).
The King’s Academy is the No. 2 seed in the Division III playoffs and will play No. 7 Alma Heights on Saturday in a quarterfinal game. The site and start time were not determined at press time.
Quarterfinals will also be held on Saturday for Division I.
The King’s Academy, the No. 14 seed in the CCS Division II playoffs, will travel to face No. 3 Half Moon Bay on Wednesday. The first-round game will start at 6 p.m. The quarterfinals will take place on Saturday.
