North-east road blocked after two-car crash


A North-east road is blocked after a two-car crash.

The Blackburn to Clinterty road is shut after the incident, which occurred around 6.30am this morning.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: “It’s at the junction with Broombank.

“It’s a two-car crash, and a female is trapped.

“Crews are using cutting gear, and police and the ambulance service are also in attendance.”

“We sent two appliances and nine firefighters to the scene.”

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We are in attendance at a road traffic accident, it’s on the back road from Blackburn to Clinterty.

“There is possibly one injured party.”
