Call for ethical public officials,
police, sheriffs to uphold oaths
“I, ___, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the Unites States against all enemies, foreign and domestic … ” is an excerpt from the oath of office required of virtually all public officials.
California demands an oath before an attorney can practice law and it states, in part, “I solemnly swear that I will support the Constitution of the United States …”.
Many of our local, city, state and federal “representative” officials are attorneys and as such are bound by both oaths. They are not held accountable when they denigrate the very Constitution they have sworn to uphold and defend.

Letter: California should set policies that limit local influence of, say, homeowners who’ll vote on SB 827
Where are the consequences when these officials flagrantly disobey their oath(s) of office? They should be held accountable. I call upon ethical public officials and police and sheriffs to uphold their oaths and maintain their honor.
