Warriors: Behind the coaching of Andre Iguodala, David West, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, Golden State smoked the Phoenix Suns 129-83 on Monday night at Oracle Arena. After a so-so first quarter, the Warriors ramped it up and outscored the Suns 104-59 the rest of the way. Curry had 22 points, nine rebounds and seven assists in three quarters.
Trail Blazers: Lost to the streaking Utah Jazz 115-96 on Sunday night in the Rose City. The Jazz blitzed the Blazers 38-19 in the third quarter to turn a 44-43 halftime deficit into an 81-63 advantage heading into the fourth quarter. Utah’s victory was No. 9 of its current 10-game winning streak.

PREVIOUS MEETING

Golden State leads the season series 1-0. … On Dec. 11, the Warriors won 111-104 at Oracle Arena, even though they were missing starters Curry, Green and Zaza Pachulia. They led by as many as 24 points, before Portland made a game of it in the fourth quarter. But Klay Thompson, who scored 24 points, drilled two 3-pointers down the stretch to hold off the Blazers. Kevin Durant led Golden State with 28 points, nine rebounds, five assists and three blocks.
