OAKLAND — SWAT teams and other police officers were at the scene Wednesday morning of a possible barricaded suspect in East Oakland, authorities said.
Police responded to a business in the 5300 block of East 8th Street about 8:07 a.m. on a report of shots fired.

No one was injured but police were told the suspect was still inside the business as were employees.
Numerous officers responded to the scene, including SWAT teams and surrounded the building.
Officer Felicia Aisthorpe said just after 10 a.m. that police were trying to determine if the suspect was still inside.
Throughout the morning numerous people believed to be employees were coming out of the building and were being questioned.
Streets in the area were shut down and Amtrak train service on nearby railroad tracks was stopped while police dealt with the situation.
