Emergency services called to fire in Aberdeen pub

Emergency services have been called to a fire at an Aberdeen pub.

Police officers and the fire service were notified of a blaze on the ground floor of the Castle Bar, at the Castlegate in Aberdeen at around 7.45am.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “There is an incident at The Castle Bar at the Castlegate, and police are in attendance.

“We are just there assisting the fire service.”

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman added: “We got the call to the incident at 7.44am.

“Three pumps are in attendance. There has been a fire within the ground floor.

“We used four breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet.”

Emergency services are still on scene.
