I am past president of the golfing group Retirees Invitational Golf Group (rigggolf.org) and wish to show our support for Los Lagos. We play it once a month with between 40 and 60 players. It is one of our favorite courses.

The Mercury News story about the course correctly states that the number of plays was down in 2017, but a large part of that was due to the weather. We had several outings there cancelled due to rain. In fact, most of January and much of February and March were wiped out due to rain. We believe that operationally Los Lagos is running close to break even, but debt retirement is falling behind. We can see no other recreational use of this land that will help to reduce that debt.
