Vandal leaves strange messages. Police were called to the 1900 block of East Belleview Avenue, Greenwood Village, after someone apparently scaled a 6-foot metal fence to get into a woman’s backyard and carved images into her tree posts Sept 20. One image was a bow and arrow aimed at a deer. Another image was a figure throwing a ball to a figure holding a bat. Police also found a carving that read “JC was here,” according to a police report. The woman told police about a possible suspect who she said had threatened her over a neighborhood feud.
Familiar face. A man called police Oct. 11 to report seeing a man trying to cut a bike lock with bolt cutters on the 5900 block of Sycamore Street in Littleton. The man said he asked if the bike belonged to the man, who responded that it was and hopped on the bike and rode away, according to a police report. The man said he thought he recognized the man who took the bike.
Bicycle chase. Police spotted a man fleeing on a bike from Family Dollar in Littleton Oct. 5. Officers said the man crashed into a front yard and they caught up to him.
